If you are worried someone else can see what you are reading

Devices, browsers, and phone or internet bills can sometimes show what a person has visited, even after a page is closed. If a device is shared, watched, or paid for by someone else, consider using a device that person cannot access, such as a library computer, a trusted friend's phone, or a workplace computer. Clearing browser history does not remove every trace of a visit and can itself look suspicious if someone is already monitoring the device, so a safer device is usually a better choice than trying to erase activity on a monitored one.

This page provides general safety information and is not legal advice. An advocate, shelter, or attorney familiar with the details of a specific situation is the right resource for decisions about that situation.
